I think some people are starting to suffer from readiness fatigue. I fight with it daily myself. I started as a survivalist in ’79 or so but the things I was preparing for never seemed imminent even if I thought they were likely unavoidable in the long run. Now I find myself maintaining a protective posture close to my home, critical electronics off and protected, more than usual vigilance about security and health, etc. It is an effort to maintain such a mental and physical state
